Committees

I spent a year as co-president of Pegasus, USC’s philosophy graduate student organization, representing graduate students at faculty meetings and organizing shared resources for different stages in the PhD program.

I also served on Pegasus’s Constitution Committee, which proposed revisions to the graduate student organization’s constitution, including an improved voting procedure and a major restructuring of officer roles.

Events

I co-organized the annual joint USC/UCLA Graduate Conference in Philosophy in 2019.

I have also helped organized USC’s annual Open House, including serving on graduate student panels and planning small group meetings with prospectives.

Translations

For six years I volunteered for the Vietnam Field Unit of United Nations Volunteers (UNV), a UN program seeking to mobilize volunteers around the globe for peace and development. My tasks primarily involved translating documents, articles, and promotional materials in English and Vietnamese for UNV. You can view our 2014 bilingual publication of inspiring stories of volunteerism in Vietnam here.

I was also a volunteer translator for Play for Peace Vietnam, a non-profit bringing cooperative play to youth in communities of conflict.
